So, heres the deal… I just came back from my last day in muadzam 2 days ago (saturday)… went online in kajang, and joined a Facebook group that my friend, Along, created for us finance students who have just graduated… everyone in the group just didn’t seem all that interested in looking for a job… well at least all of them wanted to take a 1 week “rest”… hahaha

I dunno, but i just don’t want to burden my family… thats why, I went online and registered myself on Jobstreet.com… Seriously, i have no experience wutsoever doing these kind of things… i’m just going with the flow… anyways, i registered yesterday, feeling pessimistic and realistic about my chances getting a job online….

then this morning… TADAAAAA… got this call from a lady… she told me that she wanted to interview me for the position of customer service executive (CSE)… thanks to michael and a short discussion i had with him, his views on the position of CSE wasn’t that optmistic… but heck, u know wut, lets just give it a try! I wanted to see if i have wut it takes to start working!!!

If i’m one of the lucky ones chosen, this is the building where I’ll be working at:

Anyways, this is a good place to start my career, and I’m gonna do my best to make my future a reality!!! CHAIYOK!!!!

Its the 26th of december… my dear friend, amanina fasihah, has planned her birthday bash at her place in BTS (bandar tasik selatan)… apparently i’m one of two muadzam people who actually came… all the others were non-uniten…

So, I was soooooooooooo (emphasis on “so”) happy that i brought along my childhood friend, qairul faiz (hahaha… childhood la sangat)…

Anyways, i woke up at 7, washed, waxed, and polished every inch of my car… which took like about 1 hour and a half… Then at around 12.30, i went to putrajaya to meet her (that childhood friend)…

picked her up near the futsal court, drove through the tunnel, then BANG… hit the side divider… but all was cool… im cool.. she was shrieking… but i was cool… all was A-Okay…

continued down that road… then we just followed that stupid GPS thingy all the way to BTS. (please take note to all GARMIN users: the device only tells u to turn only when u are 1cm away from the intersection… so, please, drive slowly… or take along a navigator with you, like faiz)

anyways… after several near misses with oncoming traffic and countless u-turns in ghetto areas… we finally arrived at nina’s place… and we were 15 minutes early as well.. So, being the fashionably-late person i am, Faiz and I went to the nearest mamak stall to grab a drink while waiting for the perfect timing to make the grand entrance at nina’s place.

I’m starting to sense a pattern here… the last time i went out with faiz, a lady came up to us asking us to help the little spastic children… and today, another lady came up to us at the mamak stall wanting to sell us 2010 organizers… being the good philanthropist i am, i bought one…

anyways… after that, we headed back to nina’s place… awkwardly introduced nina to faiz, faiz to nina, and then stepped into her home sweet home… It’s interesting to imagine how i would be spending my time at nina’s place had i not brought someone else with me… interesting…

okey, heres the funny part… i thot faiz was carrying a brown bag wen she came in.. so on the way out, i picked up a bag (which i thot faiz forgot to carry) and started bringing it out of the house… Nina gave me that strange look and then… well, u get the picture… (THANKS ALOT FAIZ!!! U LEAVE ME FOR 1 MINUTE AND I MANAGE TO HUMILIATE MYSELF IN HALF THAT TIME)

anyways… putting aside that purse snatching tragedy, i just felt hungry again after the party, so faiz and i went to mines (no parking) then we went to alamanda (yes parking) and we went to sushi king… (my first time)…

AMATEUR… my chopstick skills are even worse than my driving skills… but seriously, i never thought fish could taste this good… (note to self: bring faiz next time i go to sushi king for a 10% discount). Fun fact: green tea = tap water, you’ll never notice the difference…

Its becuz, there hasn’t been anything interesting to tell lately (plus, im lazy.. hihihi)

Now, the only thing interesting left in my life is waiting for my results to come out… TOMORROW!!! OMG!!!

Starting of with the bunga apis (plural for api is apis). That nite (still berpuasa) da start main bunga api. SRONOK. But how come all the stuff that we bought takde langsung yang go BOOM??? could only get my hand on the HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSes… but still, it was niiicee….

The next day, we had our raya. After the prayers and the minta maafs (definately not gonna show u pix of that), we had our family photos taken…

Then we went raya-ing with all those who have come in contact with us.. wakakaka! I got a solid 20 houses that day… The next day we went to kedah!!! Ade sedara kat situ… Malam tu tidur hotel.. ye arr, rumah sedara tak muat.. takkan nak tido kat dapur…

So, without further ado, I went downstairs and said, “Hey ayah. Sup man. Need help?”. “Tolong ayah berus tepi kolam ni jap”. “OK”. Heck, I’m home once a month, so I had no reason to feel lazy… It’s just a fish pond anyway… Oh yeah, did i mention that the pond hasn’t been cleaned out in months? uhuh, its THAT dirty.

Ok, so step one, take out all the fishes and place them in a separate bucket. Make sure the bucket isn’t too small and there is enuff water in the bucket so that the fishes are comfy. Feed them breakfast as well. You might be fasting, but those fishes, they eat all the time…

Next, in the cleaning process, use some elbow grease (which means hard work) and scrub out all of the moss and grime, and fish poop out from the surfaces of the pond. Make sure u do this for at least 1 hour (depending on the size of your pond, and the last time you cleaned it. heheheh.

Use the ‘long-scrubber’ if u hate getting ure hands dirty

After that, take out all of the piping and hoses connecting the pond and the filter and clean them… Thoroughly. Don’t forget to scrub within the pipes. No matter how hard you try, you’ll still get your hands dirty… Trust me.

After the filter duty, all that’s left is to assemble everything back without screwing up any of the links and you’re all set. But wait, after you’ve put everything back together, don’t go and turn the filter back on just yet. Put the fish in first. This way, your fishes won’t be ‘shocked’ when you move em from one environment to another.

Make sure all of the connections are… well… connected.

Tadaa! You’re all set!

well, we all rendezvoused (berkumpul in “french”) at wisma at 8.00 in the morning *yawn* and started with the ice breaking ceremony. Finally figured out who Chow Min was… “Ahhhh, so YOU’RE Chow Min! Nice to meet you. I’m that guy that keeps on calling u late at night to convince u to join the quiz these past few days” Her first smile of the day…

at 8.30, the van arrived, we all got on, and the 3+ hour trip to putrajaya begins…

Lemme tell you about the conditions in the van… we may be smiling in that picture, but our asses were crying. Its the kind of seat that skinny people with no meat in their butts have nightmares of. Other than that, everything was just fine and dandy.

So, we arrived at 12.30 and checked into our rooms. Fairuz, Chai, and myself have a room to ourselves, and our team mates : the girls, managed to stop fighting and made peace with the rooms they got.

1.30, and we’re hungry… Those PNB fellas forgot to mention that lunch wasn’t going to be served, and i was hungry… Didn’t your mom ever tell you that a hungry shahrel, is an unhappy shahrel? hahahahaha…

So, i messaged the gang to come down so that we could go to my hunting ground to eat at ALAMANDA!!! I gave them 10 minutes… (girls… they just take forever to get dressed)… Meanwhile, i played a game of chess with Sawgi… Ure good girl, but not THAT good.. heheheh.

Eventually, ‘they’ came down and we boarded the van heading towards the magical alamanda… heheh.

At alamanda, we went to BURGER KING… my hunger was raging and finally i gave into my dark side and ordered the double WHOPPER… lemme tell u this, IT WAS GIGANTIC. There goes my slim figure… WAKAKAKAKA…

After strolling around alamanda and buying a few things (apparently, none of us remembered to bring our toothbrushes), we headed back to our rooms and took a few winks…

The quiz was going to be held at night, but those PNB fellas got it right this time and they decided to feed us hungry starving children some food before they started to fry our brains with some pretty hard questions later that evening…

It was a buffet style dinner with some pretty good stuff on the menu… unfortunately, that WHOPPER really got me and that night, i settled for ice cream (10 scoops to be exact… hehek)

Then we all headed to the ‘examination hall’ (at least, thats wut i call it). There were dozens of tables in the room. each table seated three people. so the room was practically full of smart budding intellects who are all products of thousands of ringgit invested by their parents to fulfill the ‘satu malaysia’ dream of a brighter future. All but me, i’m just the darn reserve (also acting cameraman of the night).

After the quiz, we all retired to our rooms and had another AWESOME SLEEP!!! (the rooms are so frikkin comfortable!!!)

I thought it’d be interesting to know some essentials of ramadhan, the history, the tradition… I googled ramadhan and got this on Wikipedia:

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. It is the Islamic month of fasting, in which participating Muslims refrain from eating, drinking, sexual conduct, smoking, and indulging in anything that is in excess or ill-natured; from dawn until sunset. Fasting is meant to teach the Muslim patience, modesty and spirituality. Ramadan is a time to fast for the sake of Allah, and to offer more prayer than usual. During Ramadan, Muslims ask forgiveness for past sins, pray for guidance and help in refraining from everyday evils, and try to purify themselves through self-restraint and good deeds. As compared to solar calendar, the dates of Ramadan vary, moving forward about ten days each year. Ramadhan was the month in which the first verses of the Qur’an were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad.

Interesting, but enough about that… Its now 5 o’ clock. Have about 2+ hours more to go until the first buka puasa of this year. Last year my housemates and myself were a bit more rajin… we cooked. I still remember yusri trying to fry eggs using the rice cooker (we ended up eating outside). hahahaha. This time, yusri isn’t here, he’s somewhere in Batu Pahat marketing his new MLM product (maybe I’ll tell more about it to u people in my next post), so that just leaves me with the Soulja Boy. And guess wut, as much as I love our pasar Ramadhan, i think i’ll break my first fasting day of this year in Kentucky’s. Nothing better than having some finger licking good ‘break-food’.
